I specialize in releasing and healing root causes of bodily stress, trauma, and injury. I use a variety of treatments, including chiropractic (force and non-force), nutrition, rehab, soft tissue work, energy, and wellness protocols. These treatments improve your musculoskeletal system function and your overall sense of wellbeing.
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, I found my calling in the chiropractic profession after a Chiropractor helped my ongoing pain from athletic injuries and a car accident. My medical providers up until that point seemed to think I would have to live in pain. Luckily that was not the case. Chronic neck, low back, and knee pain disappeared and helped improve my quality of life. I knew I had to do this work to help others experience the same relief.
I graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 2010 with a doctorate in chiropractic and a master’s in nutrition. I practiced on the East Coast for a couple years before taking a clinical faculty position at Texas Chiropractic College. There I was able to teach the next generation of chiropractors a strong foundation of clinical skills. I relocated to Portland in 2014 to work at the University of Western States and have worked in public health and healthcare in Portland since then. I have a true passion for providing comprehensive and holistic care using a very individualized approach.
Meet the assistant, Heather
Growing up in Spokane, WA, I developed an early appreciation for community and a mission to help others. My dedication to guiding patients toward holistic health stems from a personal journey. After studying pre med at Western Washington University, I've navigated the long-term effects of multiple concussions and a brain disease, resulting in firsthand experience with the transformative power of holistic approaches to healing.
These experiences serve as the foundation for my passion and fuel my dedication to helping others on their own healing paths. I am currently expanding my knowledge of natural wellness by pursuing further education in nutrition, and am thrilled to be part of a team that aligns with my passions.
Meet our special skeleton educator, Skeletor
Skeletor joins us from NeuraMedica, a local medical device company developing innovative products for neurosurgery: https://www.neuramedica.com/. We are so grateful to have him on our team to help educate our patients about the bones and joints inside their body. Thank you to NeuraMedica for considering Sustainable Alignment as Skeletor's new home.
Honoring the Transition
I was honored to take over Dr. Janet Thompson's holistic chiropractic practice as of April 1, 2024, with her decades of service to the Oregon City, West Linn and greater Portland regions (even into California and Washington, patients would travel distances to see her). She built something very special in her practice, and I look forward to continuing her legacy.
My Journey
A Personal Path to Chiropractic
My practice started from a deep, personal passion for holistic wellness and the powerful impact of chiropractic care on health. This journey has led me to establish a nurturing space where care is centered around you, embracing a holistic and empowering approach to your well-being.
