Most financial stress is not a math problem.
You probably already know something needs to change. The information is out there. The tools exist. What keeps the change from happening is older than the debt. It lives in the nervous system, in the messages absorbed before anyone explained how money actually worked, in the places where shame or silence or scarcity became so familiar they stopped feeling like anything at all.
This workshop starts there. Before the budget. Before the plan. Before the practical steps that only work once the nervous system has enough room to use them.
What this evening covers
The first hour is a presentation. The second is a roundtable at Oak Grove Tavern nearby for small group conversation to talk through the concepts and recognize the financial stress your body has been carrying.
The mindset layer — Kelly Sjostrom
Kelly paid off $46,000 in student loan debt in 20 months, not by white-knuckling a budget, but by building a plan that aligned with where she actually wanted her life to go. She has worked with women moving from stress and shame around money into clarity, without giving up today to get there. Kelly brings the framework for how financial avoidance works, why smart people stay stuck, and what one step toward financial clarity actually looks like.
The practical layer — Gina Whitlow, WI$ECredit
Gina brings 38 years in the credit and financial industry, most of it inside credit unions where she worked directly with people in debt, not to collect from them, but to understand the full picture and help them move through it. Her approach covers income, debt structure, credit, goals, and the behaviors that have been quietly running the show. She works without judgment. She's found that when people see their complete financial picture clearly, they reprioritize on their own.
Where it lands in the body
Financial stress has a physical address. It lives in the lower back, the shoulders, the chest, the gut, in patterns the body learned long before the mind knew what to name them. Before the workshop, you will complete a short body-based financial reflection that asks where money stress lives in your body before it asks what you think about it.
Take the body reflection before you arrive →Who this is for
People who know something needs to shift but keep hitting the same wall. People who feel a physical response when money comes up, tightness, avoidance, a kind of dread, and have never had language for it. People who have tried the practical tools and found them harder to use than they should be.
You do not need to be a patient at Sustainable Alignment to attend.
Before you arrive
Take the body-based financial reflection. It takes five minutes. It asks about how your mind responds to money stress, what messages you absorbed growing up, what beliefs have been running quietly in the background, and where in your body you feel it right now.
What it surfaces will make the workshop land differently.
Take the reflection →Want to go deeper after?
If what surfaces in the reflection, or in the room, feels worth exploring further in your own health picture, book a Clarity Session. Sometimes one session changes the frame. Sometimes what you find points toward something longer.
